The Big Bow-Chica-Bow-Wow Bedroom Makeover REVEAL

Thanks for hanging with me through this makeover! In case you missed it, click here to enjoy the adventure. There are a few more changes happening, but I am just ITCHING to show you the room. So.....HERE IT IS!!!!

Let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we? Here's what the room looked like before:

I started the project by painting the upper portion of the wall a light and bright grey-blue.

Then, with some help from my husband-who-really-tries-even-though-he-loathes-painting-and-projects, we installed faux board and batten.

I assembled and installed a new MASKROS light fixture and ceiling medallion.

I gave my monkey lamp a second chance.

And last, but not least, I re-invented a few throw pillows:

I am SO thrilled with the results.

I love the bright pop of chartreuse and lime in these pillows.

I love the contrast of the dark rich wood in this open bookshelf against the crisp, white board and battened wall. We've stowed away our towels in baskets and bowls on this piece, making it stylish and functional.

Some new, reinvented and relocated accessories make the room feel fresh and exciting. The mason jar candles are softened with a lime knitted cozy (which were SUPER easy to make....tutorial coming soon!)

And of course, no makeover would be complete without a picture of my trouty-pouty pooch.

Even Aybee's bed got a slight makeover with a new chartreuse and white pillow.

I'll leave you with one last photo....the MASKROS light fixture casts an amazing pattern all over the room. Seriously whimsy, my friends.

Cheers, y'all!
