Let There Be Light: The Bow-Chica-Bow-Wow Bedroom Makeover
I'm pretty stoked about my new master bedroom light fixture. It's utterly and completely indulgent and I LOVE IT.
It definitely took some patience to get it assembled, but for $49, it was money well spent!
It's the Maskros light fixture from Ikea, reminiscent of a dandelion. I purchased the smaller size, which ended up being perfectly scaled to the room. For an added touch of decadence, I installed a 16" diameter ceiling medallion.
I shut the power off in the master bedroom and got to work. The hardest part was getting the fixture secured to the ceiling....I definitely recommend having a buddy around to help you. I installed this fixture by myself and now my arms hate me. Once it was on the ceiling, it was smooth sailing from there.
I'm thrilled with the results!

The medallion is a great addition! Can't wait to see the reveal! I know it will be stunning.
ReplyDeleteFYI, I wanted to share a little tip about the Clementine Sketch font you sometimes use. I've been using it, too, and have figured out that if you start each word with a capital letter, and end each word with this symbol: ^ the beginning and end of the letters will be capped off and more finished looking. Just thought you might like to know!
I hope I can find a similar lighting fixture, that will really look great in my living room.
